Eyelash Extensions Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it last?

An average eyelid has approximately 100 natural hairs. When applied properly and cared for, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle. When the natural hair sheds, so does the last extension attached to it. Other factors like exposure to steam, tugging or pulling may cause the extension to fall out quicker. We recommend refills to keep the lashes looking nice and full.

How often will I need to get refills?

The longevity of the eyelash extension depends on how well you take care of it. On average, refills are recommended every 2.5-3 weeks to keep it looking full. We advise scheduling your next refill appointment in advance. You must have 40%+ of your lashes remaining in order for it to be considered a fill. Anything less will be charged as a full set.

Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?

In order to sustain the health and integrity of your natural lashes, we use premium products that will not damage your natural lashes. We only use formaldehyde-free and medical grade adhesives for sensitive eyes which are made exclusively for lash extensions. Remember that your natural lashes have their own lash cycle and fall just like the hair on our head. It may seem as though your lashes appear smaller or not as visible, that’s because your eyes have been accustomed to the eyelash extensions.

What is the application process like?

The application process is a relaxing and enjoyable experience; client’s typically fall asleep throughout the whole process while the eyelash technician attaches individual lashes to your natural lashes. The extensions are glued onto your natural lashes about 1mm away from your eye.

What should I do prior to the appointment?

In order to prep for your day, please arrive to your appointment with clean lashes. Do not wear anything around your eye area(Make up, moisturizer, eye serum etc.) It will minimize the cleanup time and allow more time for lashing. Use the restroom before your appointment. New clients please arrive 5-10min early to fill out a Client Consent Form. Avoid caffeine to prevent possible twitching. Since it’s a long process, you’re welcome to bring your own ear phones and listen to music otherwise there will be music playing in the background. Depending on how many lashes you have, be prepared to stay 2.5+ Hrs

How do I remove my eyelashes extensions?

Eyelash extensions should always be removed professionally by a lash artist. A special gel based remover is used to quickly and safely dissolve the medical grade adhesive. The process is painless and will not harm your natural lashes. Do not attempt to remove your lash extensions yourself as this may damage your natural lashes.
